Leonardo Academy's Work on Development of ANSI Standards

Leonardo Academy earned its accreditation as an American National Standards Developer in 2005, through the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). We are developing a number of Leonardo Academy sustainability standards under ANSI's process rules, and we also provide ANSI Standard Development Process Administration services to other companies and organizations wishing to develop sustainability standards.

2008 - Present:  Development of an ANSI Standard for Sustainable Gaming (LEO-8000). Leonardo Academy announced the Sustainable Gaming standard development process through the ANSI Project Initiation Notification Systems (PINS) on October 14, 2008.

2007 - Present:  Development of an ANSI Standard for Type III Life Cycle Impact Profile Declarations for Products, Services and Systems (LEO-SCS-002). Leonardo Academy is providing ANSI Standard Development administration services for this standard, initiated by Scientific Certification Systems (SCS) of Emeryville, CA. Leonardo Academy announced this standard development process through the ANSI Project Initiation Notification Systems (PINS) on November 9, 2007.

2007 - Present:  Development of an ANSI Standard for Sustainable Agriculture (LEO-4000 (formerly SCS-001)). Leonardo Academy is providing ANSI Standard Development Administration services for this standard, initiated by Scientific Certification Systems (SCS) of Emeryville, CA. The Sustainable Agriculture Standard development process was initially filed as an ANSI Draft American National Standard for Trial Use (DSTU) on April 13, 2007. Since that time, Leonardo Academy filed a PINS for the process on November 28, 2008.

2006 - Present:  Development of an ANSI Standard for Sustainable Organizations (LEO-1000). Leonardo Academy announced the Sustainable Organizations standard development process through the ANSI Project Initiation Notification Systems (PINS) on October 6, 2006.

2006 - Present:  Development of an ANSI Standard for Sustainable Vehicles and Transportation (LEO-6000). Leonardo Academy announced the Sustainable Organizations standard development process through the ANSI Project Initiation Notification Systems (PINS) on October 6, 2006.

2006 - Present:  Development of an ANSI Standard for Sustainable Events (LEO-7000). Leonardo Academy announced the Sustainable Events standard development process through the ANSI Project Initiation Notification Systems (PINS) on October 6, 2006.

2006 - Present:  Development of an ANSI Standard for Emission Inventories, Reduction Credits and Offsets (LEO-5000). Leonardo Academy announced the Emission Inventories, Reduction Credits and Offsets standard development process through the ANSI Project Initiation Notification Systems (PINS) on June 23, 2006.

2005:  Leonardo Academy becomes an ANSI Accredited Standard Developer. Leonardo Academy became a member of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) in 2005 and earned status as an ANSI-Accredited Standards Developer through the approval of Leonardo Academy’s ANSI Standards Development Constitution.
