Many resources are available to help commercial and institutional building managers increase energy efficiency. Selected resources are listed below.

US Green Building Council (USGBC) is a balanced, consensus coalition representing the entire building industry that promotes the design, construction and operation of buildings that are environmentally responsible, profitable, and healthy places to live and work. ENERGYSTAR® is a voluntary partnership between U.S. organizations and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to promote energy efficiency in buildings. ENERGYSTAR® recognizes buildings that have an overall energy performance among the top 25 percent of all similar-use buildings nationally.
