Leonardo Academy’s Leading Role in the Development of LEED for Existing Buildings (LEED-EB):

Leonardo Academy with Funding from the International Association of Facilities Managers (IFMA) Foundation:

  • Wrote “Deliver the Green” a introductory guide to LEED-EB and green facility management

Leonardo Academy as a consultant to the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC):

  • Managed the LEED for Existing Buildings (LEED-EB) Rating System pilot program
  • Primary Author of the LEED-EB Reference Guide
  • Primary Author of the initial LEED-EB training materials and course
  • Conducted all LEED-EB Certification Application reviews from 2002 to present

Michael Arny, President of Leonardo Academy:

  • Chair of the USGBC LEED for Existing Buildings Committee from 2002 through 2005
  • Guided the USGBC LEED for Existing Buildings (LEED-EB) Committee’s work on developing, pilot testing, refining, and balloting the LEED-EB rating system.
