Clinton Library LEED-EB Implementation: Greening of Operations
Leonardo Academy is working with the Clinton Foundation to manage the LEED for Existing Building (LEED-EB) certification process and greening of operations at the Clinton Presidential Library in Little Rock, Arkansas. The Clinton Library received Silver Certification under the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED for New Construction program in 2004. The goal of the announced LEED-EB initiative is to make the Clinton Library building operations progressively greener and to inform the public about green building.  President Clinton’s aim, announced on Earth Day 2007, is to achieve LEED-EB Platinum Certification, the highest certification possible. Certification of Emission Reductions for Milliken & Company
Milliken & Company, a textile and chemical manufacturer headquartered in Spartanburg, South Carolina, is purchasing landfill gas from a City of LaGrange, Georgia, landfill.  This landfill is adjacent to a Milliken plant and will be used by Milliken as an alternative fuel source to reduce the amount of natural gas that is used by the plant.  Leonardo Academy is reviewing, calculating, and certifying the air emission reductions resulting from this alternative energy use.

Cleaner & Greener® Program
While most emissions offsetting programs focus only on greenhouse gasses, Leonardo Academy's Cleaner & Greener program addresses the full range of emissions that are detrimental to human health, as well as those that fuel climate change. The program makes it simple for organizations, buildings, events and individuals to reduce and offset their emissions from energy use and lifestyle activities. Visit the Cleaner & Greener® website for more information.

The Cleaning Industry Climate Initiative
This program of the Green Cleaning Network and Leonardo Academy's Cleaner & Greener® Program was designed to create awareness within the cleaning industry about its environmental impact and to help cleaning companies and service providers measure, reduce, and offset their emissions. Learn more.
