AcceleratingGreen Seminars

Designed to accelerate interest in green building and sustainability, the content of these seminars is tailored to address the green issues that are important to the organizations that host or sponsor the seminars.  Popular seminars include green facility management, green building, green cleaning and green marketing. Seminars are delivered by Leonardo Academy, the Ashkin Group, and other sustainability experts.

The seminars are frequently implemented through the cooperative efforts of local membership organizations and product and/or service providers. Your organization of company can sign up to host or sponsor public or private AcceleratingGreen Seminars in your area. A variety of seminar options include afternoon or evening receptions/presentations and a selection of 2-3 hour training seminars that can be combined into half-day or full-day sustainability training events.

AcceleratingGreen Seminar: Putting LEED-EB to Work for Architects, Facility Managers and Building Owners
LEED for Existing Buildings (LEED-EB®) is an important tool for architects, facility managers and building owners. This presentation highlights the challenges and opportunities that arise as LEED-EB in integrated into the procurement, design and construction of new buildings, and highlights how to overcome these challenges and capture these opportunities. Attendees will walk away with a deeper understanding of green facility management, the LEED for Existing Buildings rating system, and integration of both of these into new construction projects.

AcceleratingGreen Seminar: Green Cleaning
High Performance Healthy Cleaning Workshops provide a practical guide to implementing effective green cleaning programs in all types of buildings. Topics include cleaning impacts on human heath and the environment, green cleaning policies and procedures, green cleaning products and equipment, and the role of green cleaning in building certification systems such as LEED® for Existing Buildings, the Collaborative for High Performance Schools, and Green Guide for Healthcare.™ Workshops can be tailored to the audience, and are valuable learning opportunities for facility managers, building owners, cleaning professionals, and product, service and equipment providers.

Selling green is becoming an increasingly important part of all types of business. Providing sustainable products and services and a commitment to environmental protection and stewardship can give a company a strong marketing advantage, but only if you take full advantage of the opportunity. This seminar will spark your creativity and help you learn how to best position your products and services to get your message out and stay one step ahead of the growing green movement. The workshop includes an introduction to green marketing techniques, a guide to taking advantage of the green movement, and green marketing techniques that have proven successful.
